For those who live outside of the Sudbury region, there are several ways to get to Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. We are about a 4.5 hour drive north of Toronto, Ontario. We also have an airport with easy transfers through Toronto via Air Canada or Porter Airlines, and with Bearskin Air if coming through northern communities. There are also bus routes for the bus lines Flix, and Ontario Northland .
Group pick-ups and drop-offs from either the Sudbury Airport or Ontario Northland bus terminal can be arranged for students*. Cab rides from the airport and bus terminal are very expensive (approx. $90.00 and $30.00). We can come get you for a much smaller fee. Let us know once you know your travel plans and we can invoice you separately for this service. We will also make a stop for groceries on the way to the Residence.
Sudbury Airport: $25.00 + HST each way
Bus Terminal: $10.00 + HST each way
*Note: As students may have varying arrival and departure times, be prepared for the possibility of a longer wait for pick-up or an earlier drop-off time as we will try to bring as many students from and to their travel points at one time.

The Intensive will generally run each day from 9:30am to 5:30pm. We will break for 1 - 1.5 hrs for lunch each day. As the intensive progresses, participants should be prepared to work into the evenings.
For all participants, especially those attending from the Sudbury region who are not staying in residence, Neo-Bouffon will take up most of your time and you should prepare to completely free your schedule for the full duration of the 6 days.
The classroom will be open from 8:00 am, for those who might like to come earlier to use the space for a warm-up, etc. and will be locked each night at 11:00pm. Classes are predominantly held in the classroom but we will find opportunities where we will work outside. There may be a few evenings where we hold class as well.
We will allow time in the week for students in residence to go into town to buy groceries or hit the farmer’s market. We will provide shuttles for those without transportation.
What to Bring to the Intensive:
You will need to bring clothing that you can move easily in with layers for different temperatures. The classroom is a climate controlled space and some might find it chilly. A blanket might also be advisable.
All students will need a comfortable oversized hoodie for class exercises.
Indoor shoes, socks, or bare feet only on the studio floor.
Personal water bottle or hot beverage container, and snacks as necessary.
Those not staying in residence may wish to bring their lunch with them.
Notebooks and something to write with.
NO cell phones are permitted in the studio.
We have some yoga mats, but if you prefer your own you are welcome to bring one.

If you are staying in residence please make arrangements to arrive on Monday, July 14 and depart on Monday, July 21
Your stay in residence includes the evenings of Monday, July 14 and Sunday, July 20.
When you arrive, our team will meet you, get you registered and settled in residence. You will receive the keys to the Residence and your room.
Please note that there will be a $90.00 replacement fee for lost keys.
You will be free to use your private room, the kitchens, washrooms, courtyard, and common room throughout your stay. The residence is not a climate controlled space and in the summer the rooms can become warm. There are good old-fashioned windows for airflow.
Residence rooms are private and lockable and come with a single bed (no bedding), desk, chair, closet, drawers, and shelves. Cell phone service is quite good on campus, and there is free access to wifi but we highly recommend enjoying a technical holiday while you are here.
The residence building connects directly to the academic wing of Thorneloe University where the classroom is located and where the workshop will take place. You will have access to the classroom from 8:00am to 11:00pm every day. Doors to the studio and academic wing will be locked after this time.
Quiet hour in residence is 11:00pm and absolute silence is required for all by midnight.
What to Bring to the Residence:
All bedding: pillow, sheets, and blanket
All clothing, shoes, swimsuit, rain jacket, towel, and toiletries

Garbage, recycling and composting are available in the kitchen. Please familiarize yourself with Sudbury’s waste disposal rules so we can minimize our garbage output.
*You must take everything with you that you bring. Please do not leave us with leftover items. We encourage students to buy only what they need and share excess with each other to avoid food waste as much as possible. In the interest of community care, One North Clown and Creation strongly encourages participants to wear masks during travel to Sudbury and at anytime if it makes them feel safer. We need to be wise and take care of one another so this work can continue.
One North Clown and Creation cannot provide a refund should a participant become ill during the workshops and need to isolate, miss class, or return home.
